An Alarmy alternative for Android, without the missions
By the Rise team · Updated 26 October 2026.
We make Rise, an Android alarm app, so we're not neutral. We've described Alarmy from its own Google Play listing; if anything's out of date, tell us via the contact page.
If you want an Alarmy alternative on Android without missions, you have three routes: a plain clock app such as your phone's built-in one, a different mission or challenge alarm, or an alarm where snoozing costs something you choose the night before. Rise takes the third route: no puzzles, scans or tasks, and you can still snooze, but each snooze spends tokens you set before bed.
In short
Three routes: a plain clock, another mission alarm, or a priced snooze
Alarmy uses a task; Rise uses tokens you set the night before
Dismissing stays free, and Pay to Snooze can be switched off
A mission alarm may suit you if you need a task to wake
NO MISSIONS

What Alarmy does (and who it suits)
Alarmy is an Android alarm from Delightroom. Its Google Play listing, checked on 26 October 2026, describes missions to turn the alarm off, loud alarm sounds, and a sleep tracker.
The listing names a barcode and photo alarm, maths and memory, typing motivation quotes, and a shake or squat alarm. It describes the photo and barcode mission as a way to get out of bed, and maths and memory as a way to get your brain moving. Wake Up Check restarts the missions if you ignore the alarm. The listing shows "Contains ads" and "In-app purchases".
It suits people who need a task to get their brain going. The listing recommends Alarmy for deep sleepers who want a loud alarm, for a morning routine, for students, and for people who want to track their sleep. If you want to skip the task, the routes below are the other choices.
Why people look for an alternative
Alarmy works for a lot of people. Looking for a replacement does not mean the app has failed. It means the morning and the tool do not match.
On r/GetOutOfBed, people ask for an alarm that is not Alarmy. One thread asks which alarm app you use that is not Alarmy. Another asks what alternatives people would try. People say they do not want a task while half-asleep, that a mission can feel stressful, that they want fewer ads or upsells, or that they have found a way to finish the task in bed and go back to sleep.
Those threads are examples, not a verdict. A task can still be right if you need your brain to do something before the alarm stops. The routes below are for when you do not.
Your options, by approach
You do not have to swap one mission app for another. On Android, the realistic options fall into three approaches.
Your phone's clock app
The clock on your phone is free, and it has no missions. You dismiss the alarm or you snooze, and nothing makes snoozing harder. On some phones you can switch snooze off for an alarm; see switching snooze off on Android.
Another mission or challenge alarm
If you like a task and want a different challenge from Alarmy's, other Android apps offer their own. Our guide to the three kinds of anti-snooze alarm explains how task, step and scan alarms differ.
A pay-to-snooze alarm
A pay-to-snooze alarm takes the task away. Snooze stays, and it costs something you chose the night before, while you were awake. Named apps, and how each one charges, are on the comparison of pay-to-snooze apps.

Where Rise fits: no missions, snooze has a price
Rise: Pay to Snooze Alarm is an Android alarm and timer app. It rings as a full alarm. iOS is coming soon. There are no puzzles, scans or challenges to stop it. Countdown timers are included.
You set a snooze price per alarm, in tokens, the night before. There is no minimum and no maximum. The price is locked once the alarm rings. Dismissing is always free. Pay to Snooze can be switched off for any alarm.
Tokens are bought in the app, in packs, as an ordinary Google Play purchase: 10 for £0.89, 50 for £3.49, and 200 for £8.99. No card is ever charged automatically. Tokens do not expire. The money goes to Rise. At a zero balance, snooze falls back to free. Snooze length is adjustable, and the default is 9 minutes.
It is a nudge you set yourself, while you are awake. If you need a task to wake your brain up, a mission alarm may suit you better.
Is there an alarm app like Alarmy but without missions?
Yes. A pay-to-snooze alarm such as Rise has no puzzles, scans or tasks to turn it off. You can still snooze, and each snooze spends tokens you set the night before. Dismissing the alarm is free, and you can switch Pay to Snooze off for any alarm. The other route is your phone's built-in clock app, which has no missions and nothing extra in the way of snooze.
What's a free alternative to Alarmy on Android?
Your phone's built-in clock app is free and has no missions. On many phones you can switch snooze off for a single alarm, though the menu depends on the phone. The steps are in the guide to switching snooze off. Rise is free to install from Google Play. Tokens are only needed if you use Pay to Snooze, and you buy them in packs when you choose to.
Is there an Alarmy alternative without ads?
Many alarm apps say they have no ads. Google Play shows a "Contains ads" label when an app has ads. Alarmy's listing shows that label. Check the Google Play listing of any app before you install it.
Can I still snooze with Rise?
Yes. You snooze at the token price you set the night before, with no minimum and no maximum. That price is locked once the alarm rings. Dismissing is always free. You can switch Pay to Snooze off for any alarm. At a zero token balance, snooze falls back to free. Snooze length is adjustable, and the default is 9 minutes. See how Pay to Snooze works.
Does Rise charge my card when I snooze?
No. Token packs are bought in the app as an ordinary Google Play purchase: 10 for £0.89, 50 for £3.49, and 200 for £8.99. No card is ever charged automatically. Tokens do not expire, and the money goes to Rise. Snoozing spends tokens you already hold. At a zero balance, snooze falls back to free.
