What the clock help pages say about snooze
The steps below are the ones on the linked help page. Another phone, or another version of Clock, can use different labels.
Samsung Galaxy, from Samsung's US page
Samsung's US support page, "Set and edit alarms on your Galaxy phone or tablet," lists Snooze while you set an alarm. It does not say "turn off the switch next to Snooze."
Navigate to and open the Clock app, and then make sure you are on the Alarm tab. Tap Add alarm (the plus sign). The Snooze line says: "Allow the alarm to be snoozed. You can set the interval and repeat values for the alarm while snoozing, or tap Custom to create your own time limit." When you're finished, tap Save to save the alarm.
To edit an alarm, tap your desired alarm, and then configure the options. To enable or disable the alarms, tap the switch next to them. The page does not call that switch Snooze.
Samsung Galaxy, from Samsung Canada
Samsung Canada's page applies to Galaxy phones and tablets sold in Canada. It says screens and settings may vary by model or for devices sold in other countries. By default, snoozing an alarm delays it for 5 minutes and repeats it 3 times. Under "Customize the alarm snooze option," the steps are:
- Open the Clock app and make sure the Alarm tab is selected at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the alarm you want to edit.
- Scroll through the menu and tap Snooze.
- Set the number of repeats and the interval between each snooze to customize how often and how quickly your alarm rings again.
- Tap the Back icon in the top-left corner or use your device's back gesture or button to go back to the alarm screen.
- Tap Save to confirm the new settings.
Under "Dismiss or snooze an alarm," if the device is not in use: when the alarm rings, swipe the X icon in any direction to dismiss it. To snooze the alarm, tap the Snooze button. The default snooze duration is 5 minutes, but you can adjust it from the active alarm's screen. If the device is in use: when the alarm sounds, tap Dismiss to stop it or Snooze to have it ring again later. Samsung is describing that Galaxy alarm, not Rise.
Google Clock
Google's Clock Help, under "Change alarm settings" on "Set time, date and time zone":
- Open your device's Clock app.
- Tap More, and then Settings.
- Under "Alarms," choose how long "snoozing" delays an alarm: tap Snooze length.
- Choose what the volume buttons do: tap Volume buttons. They can control volume, snooze an alarm, or dismiss an alarm.
On setting, cancelling, or snoozing alarms, you can make and change alarms in the Clock app on your Android device, Pixel phone, or Pixel Tablet. To delay an alarm for 10 minutes, tap Snooze. To stop an alarm, tap Stop. You can change your snooze time and set your device's volume buttons to snooze or dismiss alarms. Those 10 minutes are on that Google page. Rise's default, below, is 9 minutes.
Neither Google page describes a switch that removes snooze. The help pages do not say the switch is absent. Another model, or another version of Clock, may use different labels.
Three kinds of anti-snooze alarm
This page does not name other apps. See named apps compared. Lines there quote a store listing or the app's own page.
Task alarms
The comparison quotes listings that mention maths, a photo, or puzzles. This page does not say those checks change how awake you are.
A step count, or a barcode
The comparison quotes a step count, and a penalty if you do not scan a barcode by a get-up time. That barcode line is a missed wake-up charge, not a price on each snooze. This page does not say a step count means you left the bed.
A price on snooze
Prices on the comparison page come from each listing. Rise's price rules are in the next section. This page does not say a price will change how much you snooze.
Which description matches?
Where Rise fits
On Rise, the price is set per alarm, with no minimum or maximum, and it is locked once the alarm rings. Pay to Snooze can be switched off per alarm. No card is charged automatically. Token packs are 10 for £0.89, 50 for £3.49, and 200 for £8.99. Tokens don't expire. At zero tokens, snoozing falls back to free. The default snooze is 9 minutes. iOS is coming soon. Nothing on this page says Pay to Snooze will change how much you snooze.

FAQ
What is an anti-snooze alarm?
An anti-snooze alarm removes snooze, or puts something in the way of it. On Android, clock help pages describe snooze settings, and the comparison of pay-to-snooze apps quotes listings with a task, a step count, or a price. This page cites those sources. It does not say a route will change your morning.
How do I turn off snooze on my Android alarm?
On Samsung, open Clock and the Alarm tab, tap the alarm, then Save. Samsung's US page lists Snooze as allowing snoozing, with interval and repeat, or Custom. It does not say to turn off a switch next to Snooze. Samsung Canada says 5 minutes, repeated 3 times. Google's Clock Help covers Snooze length and Volume buttons. The help pages do not say the switch is absent.
Is there an alarm app that won't let you snooze?
This page does not name one. Samsung's US page lists a Snooze option. Google's Clock Help describes snooze length and volume buttons, and does not describe removing snooze. Listings with a price, maths, a photo, steps, or a barcode are on the comparison of pay-to-snooze apps. This page does not say they will change your morning.
Is it better to have no snooze at all?
This page does not say that no snooze is better. Samsung's US page describes Snooze as allowing the alarm to be snoozed. Google's Clock Help does not describe removing snooze. Studies are on is snoozing bad for you. A morning method is on how to wake up on the first alarm. Models and app versions can use different labels.
Can I still snooze with Rise?
Yes. On Rise, the price is set per alarm, with no minimum or maximum, and it is locked once the alarm rings. Pay to Snooze can be switched off per alarm. At zero tokens, snoozing falls back to free. The default snooze is 9 minutes. See how Pay to Snooze works.
Does Rise charge my card when I snooze?
No. No card is charged automatically. Token packs are 10 for £0.89, 50 for £3.49, and 200 for £8.99. Tokens don't expire. At zero tokens, snoozing falls back to free. The price is set per alarm, with no minimum or maximum, and it is locked once the alarm rings.
